Catherine Kell was a corporate high achiever who burnt out young — then spent four years learning to walk again after a catastrophic leg injury. Self-compassion is the resource that carried her through, and she has spent her career since teaching it: in one-to-one work, in businesses, and in her self-compassion community.

Her central message is that self-compassion is a trainable skill, not a personality trait you either have or lack. Catherine Kell is a trauma-sensitive Self-Compassion Teacher, Mindfulness Teacher, Compassion Cultivation Mentor and Founder of The Self-Compassion Community. Catherine has had a personal mindfulness and meditation practice since 2006, and is a qualified Teacher of the evidence-based and empirically-supported Mindful Self-Compassion programmes training. She is trauma-sensitive in all her work, undertaking ongoing CPD in the trauma field.
