Wanna work with me 1:1?

Are we perfect for each other? Let’s find out!

Ok let me see if I’ve got this right…

You’re used to accepting your negative thoughts as facts, now they are creating persistent anxiety, taking you completely away from your values and goals, and affecting your relationships and career progression.

You probably find it really difficult to sit with uncomfortable emotions like sadness, anxiety or anger and have gotten into a habit of doing things to try to avoid them which ends up making things worse!

Something in you wants to make a change and you know you need support to do it.

It’s super hard but that’s where I come in.

What I do best is use evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help women like you break free from anxiety, stress, panic or depression to step into a life they love.

I’m trained to doctoral level to do this but my real education comes from working in the field of mental health for over 10 years and working day in day out with women just like you.

I know you have a desire to be successful in all areas of your life.

I know you want to be able to manage your emotions and your thoughts so they no longer interfere with your relationships, your career or general quality of life.

I know you don’t want to wake up every morning feeling anxious or sad.

How to get started with 1:1 therapy

Therapy has to be tailored to the client and their specific needs. An initial assessment will determine which theories and methods we will use, it’s not a case of one-size-fits-all and I want to work with you to get this right.

At assessment we’ll create a treatment plan or ‘roadmap’ based on your goals for therapy (don’t worry if you  can’t think of any goals right now, we’ll figure it out). Throughout our sessions together we will continuously check progress to make sure we are on track with meeting our goals and getting the results you desire. Having clear goals and regular progress reviews means you are never in therapy longer than you need to be trying things that just aren’t working. I respect your time (and your finances).

Reviews

"I feel free now"

In all the years of reading self help books and going to therapy I’ve never seen what you said told so simply and in a way that is easy to understand . I feel free now! Free to feel all my emotions and not feel like I’m not making any progress.

"utmost respect for you and your work"

I cannot thank you enough for the power you have helped me regain. I have the utmost respect for you and your work. I will try my hardest to carry on being confident and never avoiding!

"I am hugely hugely grateful"

I have learned a great deal about myself and am no longer in the grip of a whole lot of anxieties and low self esteem which seemed to be getting out of control and pushing me towards some obsessive stuff.  You have been inspiring and firm, showing me some truths during some challenging times and I am hugely hugely grateful.

"just what I needed"

Michaela is patient, kind & wise. I really appreciated her ability to support me with a mixture of techniques. She listened to what I needed & knew what would & wouldn't work for me. She found ways to help me understand what I was going through & how to deal with it at a practical level. Her ability to combine compassion & challenge was just what I needed!

"feel more comfortable in my own skin again"

Michaela's patient & compassionate approach during my therapy was much needed during a difficult time. She was respectful, non-judgmental & supportive & gave me the tools & confidence to solve problems going forward & feel comfortable in my own skin again.

"I felt very at ease"

I felt very at ease and was able to express my feelings and concerns to Michaela. I noticed each session I had seemed to go so quickly as the sessions were very involved and interesting which helped me.  Michaela would discuss and break down each element so I knew exactly what to do when I was feeling my anxiety or a panic attack coming on.
